Event Description

Come visit the 2019 National Building museum summer exhibit the LAWN, designed by LAB at Rockwell Group, is the latest in the Museum’s imaginative Summer Block Party series of temporary structures inside its historic Great Hall.

Lawn allows guests to unwind with quintessential summer activities while connecting to the design of the Museum. It features a vast, sloping green space built on a scaffolding superstructure. The green expanse is set on a graceful incline and dotted with clusters of communal lounging areas. Visitors can enjoy refreshments and lawn games like croquet, corn hole and dominoes. At the top of the lawn is a scaffolding tower that reaches the height of the Museum’s third floor, offering never-before-seen views of the Great Hall, column capitals, and sculptural busts lining the roof.

Group rate: $10/person (normally $16: Adult and $13: Youth (ages 3-17)) under 3 free

PLEASE READ

  • Only by registering with MONA you will gain discounted tickets into the exhibit.
  • Tickets will available for pickup at the West Court Admissions Desk (on the blue patterned carpet, near the 5th Street entrance), where MONA registrations will pick up your tickets on the day of your visit. 
  • Group members will need to pay when picking up tickets via credit card or cash.
  • Tickets include one hour LAWN following your arrival at the Museum and access to all other Museum exhibitions.
    • Although this year tickets are untimed, we are encouraging our groups to spend no more than one hour in LAWN to be considerate of other groups and visitors.
  • Hours : Monday–Saturday, 10 am–5 pm, Sunday, 11 am–5 pm, The Building Zone closes at 4 pm
